FOCUS TOPIC: Rogers Behavioral Health “Fire Watch” Virtual Mental Health Program

Join us on June 19 at 3 p.m. for this virtual Community Engagement Forum presented by VetsCAN.

In addition to updates from staff of the Madison VA Hospital, Wisconsin Department of Veterans Affairs and others, we will welcome Jennifer Parra Nelson, the clinical supervisor who oversees the Fire Watch program, a virtual outpatient program of Rogers Behavioral Health. Veterans and First Responders have incomparable experiences that contribute to their mental health and wellbeing. Rogers created Fire Watch, a virtual outpatient program designed only for Veterans and First Responders, to treat:

• Moral injury due to witnessing or taking part in something that went against your values
• Survivor’s guilt and other challenging feelings around your service
• The effects of physical, mental, and sexual trauma
• Symptoms of depression and anxiety
• Other mental health conditions
