DESCRIPTION:Veterans Day at the State Capitol\nSponsored by the American Legion\, Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW)\, and Disabled American Veterans (DAV) of Wisconsin. \nOn April 22\, 2025\, Veterans and their supporters from all over Wisconsin will assemble at the Monona Terrace\, 1 John Nolan Drive in Madison. (Free Parking) \nSchedule: \nRegistration at 9:00 AM \n10:00-11:30 AM program and lunch. (Lunch will be provided to those registered before 4/14/25.) \n11:30 AM Walk to the capitol \n12:00 PM-1:00 PM Rally at the Rotunda \n1:00 PM Meet with Legislators \nAfter the rally\, attendees will meet with their representatives to present Legislative Priorities\, that include: \n\nEligibility Expansion of the Wisconsin Veterans and Surviving Spouses Property Tax Credit\nFunding for the University of Wisconsin (UW) MIA Recovery and Identification Project to repatriate Wisconsin missing-in-action (MIA) servicemembers.\n\nEnactment of these important provisions will bring financial tax relief to qualified Wisconsin’s disabled veterans\, many of whom live on limited resources\, and a degree of hope to Wisconsin’s grieving MIA families who have suffered for years\, in some cases for decades. \nYour involvement is essential in bringing these long-delayed priorities into enactment. \nNote: One of the questions in the registration is what is your Legislative District?
